3F Oil Palm to set up 250 cr integrated processing complex in AP

3F Oil Palm, a leading palm oil producer, has announced that it will set up an integrated green oil palm processing complex in Andhra Pradesh with an investment of ₹ 250 crore. The company recently signed an agreement with the Andhra Pradesh government to set up a complex in the state. “The new integrated green oil palm processing complex is part of the company’s announced Rs 550 crore plan to promote oil palm cultivation and processing in Andhra Pradesh. The new facility is expected to create 1,500 jobs” said a  company executive.    The company held a groundbreaking ceremony at Ayyavaram village in East Godavari district on Wednesday. Andhra Pradesh  Agriculture, Cooperation, Marketing, and Food Minister Kakani Govardhan Reddy was present on the occasion.  “The new processing complex will be operational within the next 18 months. We are acquiring 75 acres for the project,” said Sanjay Goenka, managing director and managing director of 3F Oil Palm.  “The plant is expected to produce two lakh tonnes of refined oil per annum by the end of the financial year 2024-25. It will employ 500 direct and 1,000 indirect workers”, Apart from Andhra Pradesh, the company has operations in Karnataka, Assam, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, and Arunachal Pradesh with a combined cultivation area of ​​over 55,000 hectares and five processing units. 


  The new facility can process 60 tons of palm oil per hour and 200 tons of solvent extraction. It has a  palm oil refinery producing 400 tons per day and a 6 MW power plant. The company said it will also invest in the development of integrated oil palm projects in South America and Africa on 100 acres each.
