Dhanuka Agritech launches sugarcane pesticide “Tizom”

Dhanuka Agritech Ltd has launched a new herbicide ‘Tizom’ to help farmers control sugarcane weeds. This will improve the farm’s profitability of sugarcane cultivation, the statement said.  “Tizom” was launched in collaboration with Nissan Chemical Corporation of Japan. Tizom’s two main active ingredients – Halosulfuron Methyl 6 percent and Metribuz 50 percent WG – provide an effective solution to control a wide range of weeds, including broadleaf weeds, broadleaf weeds and Cyperus rotundus. The company has introduced Tizomi to farmers in Karnataka, Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu  and plans to roll out in other states soon. Citing Dhanuka Agritech Ltd. joint managing director Rahul Dhanuka, said in a statement, “Tizom further strengthens our strong sugarcane portfolio and will be of great benefit to sugarcane growers. The introduction of Tizom  also demonstrates our continuous effort to provide the best solutions to farmers and help increase their incomes. “We have aggressive growth plans in the current financial year and  plan to launch a number of products this year to match the current financial year.

 Removal of weeds

 One of the biggest advantages of Tizomi is that it fights weeds and leaves them unharmed. “Tizom” provides long-term weed control, allowing farmers to enjoy a weed-free environment for longer. According to Manoj Varshney, National Marketing Manager, Dhanuka Agritech Ltd, selectivity is crucial to protect sugarcane plants from weeds and ensure optimum growth and yield. “Such a unique offering is the need of  farmers in India and we at Dhanuka are determined to provide noble solutions to farmers”.  Amit Mishra, Senior Portfolio Manager, Dhanuka Herbicides, said ‘Tizom’ removes a major hurdle for  sugarcane farmers in India and can simplify crop management and improve productivity.
