INI Farms starts exporting Kimaye brand bananas to Europe

Agtech startup AgroStar has announced that its subsidiary INI Farms has shipped the first batch of  Kimaye brand bananas to Fresh Del Monte in Europe, opening up new opportunities for fresh Indian fruit exports.  The pilot project was implemented by INI Farms in collaboration with the Agricultural Produce Export Development Authority (APEDA) with technical assistance from the Central Institute of Subtropical Horticulture (CISH) Lucknow of ICAR, Fresh Del Monte for marketing and distribution in Europe and assistance from Maersk. logistics, the company said in a statement.   APEDA president Abhishek Dev from Maharashtra’s Baramati announced the export on Thursday.  Purnima Khandelwal, Managing Director of INI Farms said, “We are delighted to be a part of this trial shipment to strengthen India’s presence in the banana trade in Europe. The success of this trial shipment promises to open up new opportunities for our banana growers in such a quality-conscious market like Europe”. Over the years, our Kimaye brand has become a renowned global F and V consumer brand from India, synonymous with ultimate quality and food safety. We are proud to join thousands of banana farmers across India in meeting the growing global demand for Indian bananas.     

A new source of bananas
