This includes, but is not limited to, commodity arrivals, quality and prices, offers to buy and sell, responding to offers and making electronic payments directly to the farmer’s account. 1361 Mandis were incorporated in the e-NAM platform. Artificial intelligence to solve agricultural problems

In a separate inquiry into the use of artificial intelligence in solving agricultural problems, the minister said that the ministry used artificial intelligence methods to help farmers solve various challenges in the agricultural sector. Referring to the use of the National Management System to combat production losses due to climate change, he said the system uses artificial intelligence and machine learning to identify crop problems, allowing timely intervention for healthier crops.

To a separate question about recovery of the PM-KISAN fund, the minister said that individual states have reported cases of fraudulent transactions under the scheme. It is the responsibility of the states/federal states to identify and verify the eligible beneficiaries of the scheme as per scheme guidelines. The benefits are transferred to the beneficiaries through the direct transfer of benefits in the PM-KISAN portal based on the verified information received from the States/Union Territories. The PM-KISAN portal is integrated with Unique Identification Authority of India portals for aadhaar verification so that states/federal states can automatically validate beneficiary details. with the state financial management system to verify accounts and information of state employees/pensioners; with the income tax department to confirm the status of the income tax recipient; and with the National Payments Corporation of India for account verification and Aadhaar-based payments.

Eligible farmers are registered and dead/ineligible beneficiaries are removed by continuously checking and validating beneficiary information. States/Union States have been given the option to mark the beneficiaries as ineligible after due verification and vice versa. eKYCo of all beneficiaries will also be done to check their status. States/UTs have been asked to speed up filling of the system with all eligible beneficiaries and removal of eligible beneficiaries.
