The Indian Meteorological Department says the monsoon will continue in major agricultural countries

The actual monsoon will continue to operate in various parts of the country, including the major agricultural states of the central and northwest regions, for the next five days. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has reported rain and isolated showers over Maharashtra from Wednesday to Friday. Rain and isolated  showers are likely especially over Maharashtra from Wednesday to Friday. There is other good news on the Monsoon front as a low pressure area is forming over the west and central Bay of Bengal,  south Odisha and north Andhra Pradesh in the northwest and adjoining areas. A low pressure area is moving westward over south Odisha and south Chhattisgarh.  “A  cyclonic circulation associated with a low pressure area is moving into southeastern Uttar Pradesh over Odisha and Chhattisgarh at lower troposphere”, the National Weather Forecaster said.  These developments will result in fairly widespread rain/thunder, lightning and  heavy rain over Gangetic West Bengal till Thursday and over Odisha and Jharkhand till Friday.
