The rubber meeting will be held in Guwahati on February 23.

The 7th India Rubber Meet (IRM 2024) will be held in Guwahati on February 23. This year’s theme is “Natural Rubber — The Changing Landscape, Emerging Trends and Insights for Tomorrow”. Union Minister for Commerce and Industry Anupriya Patel will inaugurate the event and Anshuman Singhania, President, Automobile Tire Manufacturers Association (ATMA) and CEO, JK Tire and Industries Limited will be the guest of honor.

The biennial event is organized by the India Rubber Meet Forum (IRMF), an association formed by the Rubber Board and stakeholders in the rubber and allied industries. The meeting will feature debates, panel discussions and interaction on the future of the global and Indian natural rubber industry, economics and commodity prices; the future of the tire industry, the non-tire industry and the synthetic rubber industry; challenges and opportunities etc.

The purpose of the meeting is to provide rubber industry stakeholders, in addition to the rubber industry promotion network, a unified platform for communication, information sharing, technical updates and addressing future concerns. A national organizing committee was formed for the event, led by M Vasanthagesan, managing director of the Rubber Board, with all sectors of the rubber industry represented. It includes representatives of small and large rubber producers, rubber processors and traders, tire and non-tyre sectors, automotive components, rubber product exporters, synthetic rubber and recycled rubber producers, rubber research and knowledge development institutions, rubber media and so on.
